The Tenerife Film Orchestra will be presented shortly to the
participating producers of the Euroforum or market of the 7th
edition of the Festival Internacional de Cine de las Palmas de Gran Canaria,
which will take place from the 24th of March until the 1st
of April 2006.
2. Towards the end of 2006, the Tenerife Film Orchestra will record the original soundtrack of “Oscar, el color del destino” , which will be composed, orchestrated and conducted by Diego Navarro. This film, produced and directed by Lucas Fernández is an ambitious international coproduction (Estudio Uno Producciones – Spain, Media Turner Productions – U.S.A. and Destiny Films – France). Oscar’s outstanding musical production will be recorded in the Guimerá Theatre, home of the Tenerife Film Orchestra.
The film, presented in Venice on February 3rd to the American and Canadian markets, will tell the life of the artist Oscar Domínguez, the Canarian genious born in Tenerife who enriched the Surrealistic movement from Paris in the second half of the C 20th . Shot in 35 mm. Panavision, the film with a budget of 4 million euros, including the presence of important international and national actors, will be filmed in Tenerife, Madrid and Bulgaria.
